Sorry this is a late post for yesterday – I may or may not have gone to the cinema to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was incredible, I sat in awe for most of the film and I reaffirmed my love for Robert Downey Jr. But this isn’t a post about films, it’s about this absolutely incredible blazer!
If you’re looking for a cover up that isn’t a floaty kimono but still has femininity with a more structured edge – look no further. New Look’s Inspire range has long been a fave of mine but I must admit that I’ve been shopping less there recently. I’ve found less things that I’ve lusted after in my local New Look in Stratford. I don’t know if that is just because they have scaled back our plus-size section (grrrr!) but seeing this on the rails was like a diamond in the rough!
I’m wearing this over my sloppy black Boohoo top that I adore teamed with my ripped ASOS Curve black skinnies for a dressed up casual look.
I conducted two interviews at work yesterday and this was my perfect smart/casual balance. It’s comfortable, made of a gorgeous crepe effect material so it’s also light, and the colours are so bright and bold it will brighten up anything you own.
I teamed this with my River Island statement bling, Makeup Revolution’s Scandalous Shades lipstick in Crime and my trusty New Look sandals. The bag is a bargain I got from Amazon when my old trusty bag broke at Christmas. It says it’s from Storm London, if that’s a thing. A new bag is high on my list of priorities – I need to increase my options!
I also tried to do a mirror selfie to show off the rips in my skinnies that seem to get lost on my teeny tiny legs – don’t judge me!
How would you style this ladies? What kinds of outfits would love this cover up?
