In 1 week, I will be having my 30th birthday. THIRTY. Yes, I know that I look 21 *cough* but it’s true – I shall be knocking on the door of my next decade and to be honest? I’m kind of excited for what the next 10 years has ahead of me, but I am NOT excited for not being in my Twenties any more!
So what better to do than to think of all the gifts I would love to get for my 30th. And because it is soooo close to Christmas, this list can be an indicator of what I’m eyeing up for then too! You realise I am making this wishlist solely for my Mum and my girlfriend to get mega hints from don’t you…ahem.
So, without further ado, here are my top ten wants for this mega festive birthday season (This post includes affiliate links – read my disclosure about them here):
A Hair Makeover
So basically, my number one thing that I want this year is a hair makeover. I currently have a bit of a balayage going on and I love it, but I want something a bit more showstopping. I have always wanted purple hair, and a friend of mine recommended going to Not Another Salon. I researched them, and now I am in LOVE. I want to have an Innoluxe treatment at the same time, which makes what I want doing pretty expensive – but good hair never came cheap! So my number 1 birthday want this year is money towards a hair transformation so I can start the new year with amazing new hair!
A Sparkly Face
I am obsessed with anything ABH. I swear by their brow pomade and the lippies also look mega gorge but this Glow Kit is the holy grail of make up that I want to apply to my face! I just love the shades in this palette (and all the palettes she does tbh) and I have been dreaming of the pigments dancing along my skin *sigh*.
A New Camera Lens
So you may or may not know, I recently invested in a brand new DSLR camera for the very first time. I want to step up the old blog photography so I’ve been learning how to use my fancy camera. Before you say it, yes I know that Emma is probably the best person to learn how to use my camera as she is my blog wife after all, but I actually enjoy using it and learning how to make pretty photos! I now want to branch out (lol if you’re an actual photographer you’ll be reading this thinking I’m not branching out at all) to getting a nice new lens that will help me to do fancy photos where the background is all blurry but the foreground is all nice 😉
A Luxury Dress
This dress came out at the end of Summer and I haven’t stopped thinking about it if I’m completely honest. I absolutely love it – its so LUXE and the colour scheme of it is so gorgeous. I have seen it on mega babes Bethany of Arched Eyebrow fame and Becky Barnes and that just made me want it even more. It’s currently in the Black Friday sales, it’s usually £199 so it’s a bargain at the moment! I’ve got a £100 voucher for Navabi knocking about, so this might have to be my Birthday gift to myself – TREAT YO’SELF!
A Mega Grunge Top
When I saw this top, the emo within me did a little jump for joy! This top is everything about my formative years – dark checked bit, black denim – pair this with ripped skinnies and some chunky boots (and a bad attitude) and HEY PRESTO I get to pretend I am 21 again! Call this top my mid-life crisis if you will, but I am obsessed with it. I think I would look great in it to be honest *sassy emoji*
A Pair of Pink Trainers
After seeing Danielle Vanier in a pair of pink Adidas trainers, I have been thinking about them myself. I am not a trainers kind of girl to be honest, but I do like to wear ones that have a little something about them. I currently have some metallic gold ones that are pretty cool, but this mix of flatform, powder pink and metallic is all the YES. I think these would look nice with skinny jeans and dresses alike. I’m ready to let trainers back into my life, COME TO ME!
A Bit Of Korean Beauty (part 1)
I’m all for a fad, and I’ve been eyeing up these gel masks for a while. I think the time is now for me to look like I have put on someone elses face all in the name of beauty! These gold leaf masks are supposed to leave your skin feeling glowing and gorgeous and I would love to give them a go!
A Bit of Korean Beauty (part 2)
I have heard nothing but amazing things about this mascara! It is fully waterproof, has little fibres in it to lengthen your lashes and a wobbly wand to help to naturally curl, seperate and coat each lash for volume. I need it in my life – hopefully this will be as life changing as I’ve been told it is!
An Embroidered Dress
A huuuuuge trend for AW (and SS next year) is embroidery and florals. This dress is the perfect transitional dress that will take me through the colder months with thick tights and boots, into the milder months with bare legs and sandals. I absolutely love the roses and the skater style is a dress that every plus size girl should have in their wardrobe!
An Embroidered Bardot Top
Following on from the last one, also big for next year is ruffles and this top literally has four trends in one – bardot, embroidery, florals and ruffles! This is an effortlessly stylish top that would go with loads of things, I can even imagine this tucked into a nice mini skirt and a pair of biker boots. Ooh yeah, I can feel it on my birthday body already!
