Party Season is upon us – I know you might not want to admit it, but I’ve come to terms with the fact that I am MEGA EXCITED for Christmas this year. Yes, I said the C-Word calm down, it’s November! One of the dilemmas I have around this time of year is what footwear to embrace for various festive nights out.
I mean a heel is a good time right, but if I am going to be dancing all night I always feel better in a lower heel or a fabulous flat shoe. If it’s just dinner and drinks then the sky is the limit – does anyone else have sit-down-only shoes, or is it just me? Anyway, throw in having feet with the width of a joint of Christmas ham and you’ve got a mini dilemma on your hands.
The Fluffy Block Heel – £25
These are the kind of shoes I imagine I would wear if I were about to murder my wealthy husband – apart from I don’t have a husband, and I wouldn’t murder anyone (obviously). But my point is, these are insanely luxe and not too high either, which means you can dance the night away whilst being a luxurious queen of feathery delight – and at £25.00, you can’t really scoff at the price either!
The Velvet Platform Shoe – £29
If, like me, the thought of wearing a high heel fills you with actual dread but you love the look and the fanciness of wearing one, these velvet platform heels will do you the world of good! The platform on these are quite chunky meaning that heel will not feel anywhere near as high as it looks. The velvet is cute too with the floral patterns in – these aren’t your every day heel, these are opulent and they come in three different widths too!
The Barely-There Strappy Heel – £25
These heels are for the seasoned heel wearer who is on trend and ready to SLAY the night away! I love the metallic of this particular shoe, but this also does come in plain black if you are wanting more of a demure yet killer heel. The stiletto heel on this means that you’ll need to be a pro at wearing heels to stand in these all night, otherwise, these badboys are perfect for a sit down meal with a thigh high split maxi dress to really up the sexy level!
The Shoe Boot Heel – £38
So these are at the higher end of the price spectrum, but oh my are they worth it! These shoe boots (Shoots? Booes?) are really quirky and classy at the same time. I love the tie, finished with the gold lace keepers and the mesh really takes this from just a regular shoe to something with a little bit extra. The heel height isn’t too bad, but it is another stiletto so I’d probably wear these with a cute dress for the Christmas Party!
The Glitter Peep Toe Shoe – £35
Calling all vintage vixens! This shoe is for you – nothing says 50’s glamour better than a pair of peep toe heels. Mix that with a little platform, a bow and a LOT of sparkle and you have got yourself the ultimate in vintage Christmas glamour! I can see these heels with a 50’s style prom dress or a cute pair of skinny jeans and a glam top. These shoes are my fave of the bunch – I’m off to buy a pair now!
