I’m a huge fan of a floaty maxi dress. You’ve already seen my floral number from JD Williams (read about it here!) but I have to admit, I’ve been keeping something from you.
I’ve had this dress hanging up in my closet since I was lucky enough to grab it at the Navabi blogger event, just waiting for the right sunny day to wear it and this morning I decided that TODAY WAS THE DAY. This dress is a tropical dream…
Let me introduce you to the Palm Print Maxi Dress by Manon Baptiste:
Let’s not beat around the bush, this is an expensive dress but let me talk to you about why it is – the floaty synthetic outer material is light without being so thin you can see through it, it’s lined with a well sewed and attached thick cotton under-dress (sewed to the outer dress, so it won’t move when you pull it on and off), the material is bright, the print is excellent and it will really last you a very long time. This is not your throw away item friends, I expect this dress will last me for years to come. It is a real investment piece for all your summer needs and it is well worth the price tag, if not worth more.
I paired this dress with my current obsession of Black Heart Creatives. These pieces are actually from the subscription box so I MADE THEM! I am so obsessed with BHC, I have been consistently impressed with the subscription box and I am so excited each month to find out what the theme will be! You can see this month, it was all about the tropical vibes:
I’m wearing a size 22 in this dress and on the whole, it fits very well. It skims the top of my feet on my 5’7″ frame, so if you are taller, this may come up short. The one criticism I have about this dress is that the arm holes are far too small. I am not a girl with tiny arms, but nor am I one with larger arms. I can just wear this comfortably, but there is absolutely no room for stretch thanks to the fabric.
All in all, I adore the vibrant, summery colour and the fun print on the dress. The quality of the item is excellent and well worth the price tag. I’d say its worth the plunge lads, what about you?!
***This dress was given to me by Navabi but my opinions about it are completely my own, as always!***
