The changing of the seasons also brings with it the changing of the fashions. Wave goodbye to pastels, delicate fabrics and light florals and embrace the likes of heavy knits, dark reds and jewel colours – A/W is my favourite of all the seasons.
Being a part time goth means that the darker nights and colder weather appeals to a deep rooted part of me that dreams of Halloween, Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Goose Fair (Nottingham represent!).
Here’s my pick of the turn-of-the-season items:
L-R – Line One: Anna Scholz for Simply Be – £40, Simply Be – £80, ASOS Curve Red Carpet – £95
Line Two – Martine McCutcheon for Fashion World – £50, ASOS Curve – £48, Lovedrobe for ASOS Curve – £75
Line Three (all Wide Fit) – New Look – £29.99, New Look – £29.99, New Look – £27.99
I am so in love with that tulle skirt from Martine McCutcheon’s range for Fashion World. In fact, it seems to be a bit of a month for celeb collaborations on the plus-size fashion market!
If you haven’t already seen, Simply Be also launched a range designed by vlogger Sprinkle of Glitter! I found the collection a bit too cute-sy for my liking (I’m a right edgy girl me) but saying that, the playsuit looks delicious – I imagine this with opaque tights, a leather jacket and real chunky ankle boots:
In other exciting news, Lisa Riley’s new clothing range comes out in September (I told you all about it in THIS POST) and I am so super excited! Lisa posted these teaser pics on her Facebook page, and look at just how gorgeous she looks in her new pieces!
I heard the range is coming to the Curve Fashion Festival at the end of the month too – speaking of which, have you bought your tickets yet?! You could meet all of your favourite fashion bloggers (including little old me!) alongside some big industry names such as Hayley Hasslehoff and Tess Holliday – get tickets now, there’s still time!
