The Lust List – Summer 2015

I am officially in holiday mode. I go off to Santorini in a week and my wardrobe is getting distinctly more exciting as time goes on. It’s becoming full of brights, botanicals and delicate fabrics, and this makes me very happy. The whole 70’s thing at the moment is not really my bag – I struggle with paisley and fringing (although I do love a weird fringing effect – you’ll see later) and I’ve never been a flares fan so I’ve been struggling with my fashion mojo as of late.

But now the seasons are changing, the new realm of fashion is revealing itself and I am in total lust with a number of items. I want to share those with you! These are my ultimate objects of affection:

Yours Clothing – £18

By now, you should know I am a bit of a sucker for a printed trou. This summer is no exception. In fact, if anything I am even more in love with them now than ever. I love botanical prints, I love bright prints on dark backgrounds, team this with a gorgeous plain top – tucked in for a smarter vibe in the workplace, or out for a care-free take on a look – and a statement necklace and you are in the summer zone, my friend! These Yours Clothing trousers are at the top of my list, alongside the Simply Be trousers below. I have serious heart-eyes at these!

Simply Be – £30

And when it isn’t a botanical print trouser, it’s a botanical print playsuit. I have to say, Simply Be have hit the nail on the head with this next item. It’s elegant, the thin straps are dressy enough for an evening function as well as being able to rock this on any city excursion with an amazing pair of heeled sandals. The gorgeous playsuit just after is my number one choice of cover up on the beach – perfect for daytime cocktails with a fishtail plait and strappy flipflops.

Simply Be – £35

Simply Be – £28

But of course it’s not all about the botanicals – these black pom-pom trim shorts from ASOS Curve are adorable. I would team it with the Alice and You tie dye Kimono and a plain black vest top with some high gladiator sandals.

Alice & You (at ASOS Curve) – £38

I’m seriously lacking in dresses for summer. I recently bought a gorgeous maxi from Boohoo, which I’ll do an OOTD on at some point, but other than that I am lacking. I used to have an amazing AX Paris Curve dress, but I appear to have lost it. I went on the hunt for AX Paris’ curve range on their site but I couldn’t find it – but trusty Google showed me that Simply Be are stocking AX Paris Curve and I found this floaty beauty. This is going to be a perfect work to party outfit – dressed smart with a blazer during the day and heels with a big necklace for the evening.

AX Paris at SImply Be – £42

Now onto accessories – my number one place for accessories has to be River Island. Their items are of really high quality and so far have never broken on me. I don’t know if that is just luck, but they always seem quite sturdy. I’m a fan of a statement piece, usually bold and bright or intricate and these two pieces are no exception – the gold tone regal harness would be a new thing for me, but would be PERFECT to dress up a plain black maxi for those hot summer evenings.

River Island – £15

River Island – £50

Just like many other bloggers at the moment, I am in love with New Look’s Wide Fit range. There is more choice than ever in the range, and these are two of my faves. The green sandals would like brilliant with the botanical prints I put above and those white metallic heeled sandals would go with literally anything in my wardrobe!

New Look – £24.99

New Look – £19.99

So what do you think girls? Do you have any pieces you want to style this summer? Let me know below!
