It’s no secret of mine that I’m a big fan of boobies. Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head (wait, I think that’s part of a song….) your lady lumps deserve to be comfortable, well contained and looking their best. That’s right, this post is going to be all about those ta-ta’s and getting them tantalising for all those party dresses you’ll be throwing on your body this season!
The babes at Simply Be got in contact with me to tell me all about their Love Thy Bust campaign that they’re running with the ultimate babe of bras, Georgina Cox of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust and the founder of the Body Confidence Revolution Leyah Shanks. They’ve released a series of YouTube videos telling you how to get the best fit and how to avoid common fitting mistakes (and both the girls look SUPER BABELY) – you can see them by clicking HERE.
Once you’ve had a look out for all of those boobie busting tips, the next step is to get a bra for every occasion. But where do you even start?
I’ve got a few tips for getting your boobs looking perky and precious –
SCOOP AND SWOOP – Whether you’ve got bee stings or boulders, you need to make sure your bra supports you where you need it most. When you put your bra on, stick your hand in your cup and SCOOP your boob tissue from all the way under your arm and SWOOP it all into your cup! Hello ladies….
Pick the right bra for the right outfit – T-Shirt bras give you a smoother silhouette under…well, t-shirts, balcony bras are perfect for square necked tops and plunge bras are perfection for v-necks and sweetheart necklines! A good multiway bra will take you through all the dresses you could muster from strapless right the way through to racer back.
Tighten up as you go along – Your bra will stretch over time so make sure you regularly rearrange your shoulder straps and tighten up your bra fastenings as you loosen up! No one likes a baggy bra. Oh and if your underwiring is trying to make an appearance, it’s TIME TO GET RID!
And here are my top three titty terrors to avoid when you’re buying an over the shoulder boulder holder:
Central Gore Horror – You must make sure your central gore (that’s the bit that sits in the middle of your boobs that houses the end of your underwires) sits flush against your body. If it stands out away from you, baby you need smaller back size and a bigger cup!
Sore Shoulders? – The support for your boobs needs to come from your band, NOT your shoulder straps. If you have those dreaded purpley-red marks on your shoulders after a long day, those straps are too tight momma!
Seeing Double… – If you’ve got a bulge over your cup, your boobies are trying to make a bid for freedom. It’s not time to let them freeeeeee, you need to reign those bad boys in! Go up a cup size until they are firmly encased without any baggy bits.
Feeling a bit fresher when it comes to bras? Have you got any top tips?
