When the seasons start to change, it can be really tough to figure out what to wear – or at least it has been for me anyway. I’ve only just got used to having my legs out as much as possible and now I have to think about putting them away?! NOT FAIR!
Anyway, I wanted to find something that I can wear now and feel good in whilst the weather is turning, and wear later on into Winter too because I’m a thrifty human. I went on a little shopping trip with Hayley from Curves n Curls to Evans who kindly said we could have some items, and I spied this exact outfit on a mannequin and just had to have it! This is my Black Dungaree Dress and Gold Shimmer Textured Top from Evans:
This outfit is so effortlessly cool. I wore it all day today at work and one of my colleagues described me as “90’s Girl Band Realness” and to be honest I couldn’t hope for any better than that description of my look! I love the soft stretch denim of the dress – it does tend to cling though, which is why I sized up in this to a 24. It is too big on me around the top of my waist but because of my lower belly, it just skirts over the top of it without clinging. The top is a 22/24 because Evans does split sizing on some items – I actually think this is a bit on the small side, which is surprising as it should cater for someone a size above me.
I just love how wearable this casual look is – and in the winter, I’d be wearing this with tights, a bomber and little ankle boots to make the look a bit warmer. I love the subtle sparkle in the top which matches the lovely big silver button detailing on the dress – a really on trend nod to military, which is going to be HUGE in A/W this year. It’s so easy to just chuck on and go with minimal effort and still allow you to look like a bad ass!
So what do you think to this look? Are you going to be wearing dungaree dresses this A/W?
