Date Night Dreamboats: Lindy Bop Wiggle Dress

If you’ve got me on Snapchat (and if you don’t, I’m lottielamour, or just scan the picture over there!) you’ll know that over the weekend, Emma and I celebrated FOUR WHOLE YEARS of being together, dealing with each other’s smelly farts and generally being loved up. Emma took me for afternoon tea at The Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe which is basically a dream for me because I am OBSESSED with Shakespeare! We both wanted to get all dressed up and whenever we do stuff like this, we both lean towards vintage inspired looks. Even though we are usually the most dressed up people, it’s just so nice to feel special whilst celebrating!

I wore this amazing Lindy Bop Bonbon Pink Lipstick Print Wiggle Dress –

Lindy Bop Dress – £32

I love the love heart cut out at the back and the little heart pockets are such a nice touch! Lindy Bop run notoriously small on their wiggle dresses, so I’m wearing a size 24 in this. I’m also wearing some heavy duty shapewear. I tried this on without shapewear and I have a visible belly outline which doesn’t bother me in the slightest, but for this particular day I wanted a sleeker look. It does mean that the top of the dress is a wee bit baggy and the arm holes were too big which meant my boobs poked out the sides a bit…nothing too worrisome though!

I teamed it with these white sandals from the Wide Fit range at Marks and Spencer – I forget that M&S do a wide fit range, and some of the items are quite fashion forward! These sandals have a mini wooden wedge and do well with the vintage feel. My favourite clutch bag makes another appearance here too, as does my necklace that I made from a Black Heart Creatives subscription box.   I’ve also chucked on my Forever 21 sunglasses for a luxury vibe!

Emma got in on the vintage led action too, wearing this gorgeous Dolores Wiggle Dress from Collectif and some adorable peep toe wedge heels, also from Marks and Spencer (see? Told you!). She’s also wearing my *Polaroid sunglasses that were gifted to me by Discounted Sunglassescheck out the blog post here.

Whilst we were having tea, Gok Wan and his family and friends were having Sunday Lunch! We had lots of compliments from passers by on our outfits too, one plus size lady enthusiastically told us how pretty we were and it made all the effort worth it! Here are some snaps from our date day, try not to drool over that Afternoon Tea!
