Around this time of year, there’s always posts upon posts from bloggers just like me telling you to get your kit off and enjoy your life in a bikini. Yeah, we would all love for you to throw caution to the wind and just let your body b-r-e-a-t-h-e for once, but I know that not all of you are there yet. And what’s a girl to do when she doesn’t feel like getting her bits out for the lads?
Well, when I went on holiday, I not only wanted to get my bits out, but on the days that I wanted to cover up, I also covered up. Because that’s what I needed to do. It’s simple as that. But, what did I choose to cover up with? Well, here’s my chosen faves!
First up, this incredible floral print jumpsuit from Simply Be:
The jumpsuit is fitted at the waist with a thick strong elasticated band and has a gorgeous wrap front too! I have had to pin the front just above my cleavage line just because my bazoomas mean it would burst open if I moved in a certain way, but it certainly doesn’t need to be pinned if you aren’t in the well endowed boob region! I love the print on this jumpsuit and it is so summery – effortless glamour on a night out too! This jumpsuit is made out of a jersey material so it’s ultra stretchy and the print draws your eye away from the FUPA region if you know what I mean…
Next up is this gorgeous split maxi dress from New Look Curves:
Dress – New Look Curves – SOLD OUT (Similar here)
This dress is one of my all time favourites. I love a good jersey dress and a maxi dress is the king at draping over curves. Throw in a cheeky leg split, and you have something effortlessly sexy! When I’m feeling bloated or a bit rubbish, I always chuck this on when it’s hot because it makes me feel better. You can dress it up with big jewellery and a belt or dress it down – super versatile and should be a staple for all girls! I had so much fun wearing this dress I forgot to take any more pictures – bad blogger!
And finally, this gorgeous beachy cover up from River Island Plus:
This cover up is SO HOT it’s not even on sale yet, but I promise you it is AMAZING. It’s made from a super light linen material that makes you feel as though you aren’t really wearing much at all. You can wear it open or closed thanks to the cute hook and eye fastenings down the front which don’t get in the way at all. I love the cute mini almost pompom related trim and the open crochet patterns along the waistline – drawing attention to the smallest part of your belly area – HURRAH! It’s really short however, so make sure you bring a pair of shorts along if you aren’t cool with your legs being out. I draped this over myself on the sun lounger too when it got too hot and it kept me nice and cool.
So what do you like to cover up with? Let me know!
