Sunshine and happiness

I don’t mean to humble brag, but I’m currently writing this post on my iPhone, listening to MNEK (if you don’t know about him, get to know. If you’re after a summer chill out vibe, listen to In Your Clouds) with this view:

Santorini is beautiful. Emma and I almost booked our next trip here whilst drinking cocktails last night!

I must admit, this is my first holiday wearing a bikini. I purchased two – the gorgeous Forever 21 one here:

And a mix match of Forever 21 high waisted black bottoms and a Pour Moi? halter neck bra top. I’ve not taken a photo of that just yet, but Emma took this candid one of me yesterday:

As I expected I would be, I think I’m the biggest lady here, but I’m cool with that. I’ve had so many compliments from much smaller women on my bikinis by the pool, I’ve felt like a superstar! I’ve not seen any negativity – or rather I’ve blocked it out by just being fabulous.

A very good friend of mine and I used to call ourselves celebrities because we were just so fabulous – and that’s something I think all women should do. We can all be celebrated for the women we are if we just hold our heads high!

My après-pool wear has consisted of two maxi dresses – one from New Look :

And one from boohoo.com’s plus range:

I totally over packed for this holiday, but it’s been nice to have the choice there if I wanted to wear something different. I packed some daisy print culottes from ASOS Curve and some polka dot and floral shorts from Forever 21, my trusty grey tribal jersey dress from River Island and some leggings and sloppy tees for the way home. I could have done this on a more capsule-based wardrobe.

So I’ll end this mid holiday post with some pictures of Oia, where we went to watch the sunset and have dinner in a cliff top restaurant. We saw a beautiful wedding taking place too!

Tell me where you’re off to this summer and make me jealous with your plans!
