7 Things to Do at Curve Fashion Festival 2017

*FYI – I haven’t been paid or sponsored to write this, I just REALLY love Curve Fashion Festival!*

It’s almost time for Curve Fashion Festival! This is my favourite event in the plus size fashion calendar. Last year’s festival was so good and this years looks to be even better. But if you are a plus size fashion event virgin you might be feeling a bit worried about what to do when you get there, or what the event will be like. You might even be coming on your own and you’re worried about how people will be when you get there. Well, hopefully this post will help you out to plan your day and get the very best out of the whole experience! This year, Curve Fashion Festival is sponsored by New Look – so you know it’s going to be absolute FIRE! You can get your tickets for it HERE.

1 – Talk to everyone!

I know, easy for me to say isn’t it, but if there were any place to make friends and talk about things you love, this is the place! You’ll see all of your favourite bloggers dotted around – make sure you go and say hi! They are there to enjoy the day just like you, and it’s always more enjoyable when someone pops over to say hello. Don’t forget to compliment your fellow plus size babes too. If you struggle with making conversation, a quick compliment about someone’s outfit will do WONDERS, especially at an event like this! I hope to be going this year, so if I do, you are more than welcome to wander on over for a chat or a selfie. I love meeting you guys!

2 – Shop shop shop

Imagine a place where you can finally browse every shop and know that you’ll definitely find everything can fit you and you can look stylish as hell WITHOUT HAVING TO SHOP ONLINE. *sigh* That’s the dream isn’t it? Well, at Curve Fashion Festival, you’ll be able to browse the rails of every booth there and take away some right bargains! From luxe brands like Navabi and Studio 8, to boohoo, PlusEquals and River Island, GET YOUR SHOP ON! I hear there will be some killer sales going on, so make sure you bring pennies to spend to get yourself something hot!

3 – Watch the How To stage

You defo need to check out the How To stage! Here is where you can see some of your fave bloggers like Hayley from Curves n Curls, Grace Victory and Megan Jayne Crabbe alongside celebs like Tess Holliday talking about everything from styling to body confidence to lingerie! Get your notepad and pen out and take down some nuggets of wisdom. Who knows, you could learn how to love the skin you’re in at the same time.

4 – Go to the Curve Fashion Festival VIP lounge

VIP tickets are now sold out, but if you’ve already bagged your ticket, you’re in for a real treat! If you’re lucky enough to have a VIP ticket, you can take full advantage of the VIP area at Curve Fashion Festival! Stop by to have a relax on Debenhams Interiors furniture, sip on some cool frozen cocktails and pick up your goodie bag. If you’re a VIP babe, you’ll also get priority seating at the catwalk, meaning you’ll get to experience that f-row life!

5 – Celeb Spot

There’s no denying it – CFF is a great place to spot your fave reality TV celebs! This year you can look out for Charlotte Crosby, Gemma Collins and plus size superstar, Tess Holliday. You’ll also be able to meet your favourite influencers too. Confirmed to attend are Grace Victory, Chloe Elliott from ChloeInCurve and Hayley from Curves n Curls amongst other big names in the world of blogging. There’s some incredible plus size models coming too, such as Felicity Hayward and Lauren Nicole. Charge your cameras, clear your phone memory because OMG, it’s selfie central!

6 – Get your glam on!

When you’re super fashionable, you also want to be super glam and thankfully, Curve Fashion Festival have thought of this for you too! From festival face sparkles to luxe false eyelashes, you can get your glam on at any time! There’s also a cool talk on beauty by Debenhams on the How To stage so you can pick up some tips. (Side note: have you checked out the plus size range at Debenhams?! It’s SO GOOD!)

7 – Look out for freebies and photobooths

In previous years, there has been SO MANY freebies and opportunities to get in front of the camera to take home some snaps. Make sure you have your eagle eyes on because I’m sure this year will be no different! My faves from last year were the Boohoo booth, Navabi’s booth and the eBay booth – so many snapping opportunities!
