#OOTD Botanical Babe – REVIEW featuring New Look Inspire via ASOS Curve

Whilst I was hanging around at the Things and Ink event at the weekend, I tapped on my ASOS app (if you don’t have it, get it – it’s amazing and sometimes they do cheeky app-only money off codes!) and found they were doing a 20% off day! Yippee! I was lucky to do this though it seems because the Twitterati were fuming at some technical difficulties that ASOS were having stopping them from using the code…boo!

I literally scrolled down three items and clapped eyes on THIS beauty:

New Look Inspire Botanical Dress

New Look Inspire on ASOS Curve – £22.99

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know the soft spot I have for botanicals at the moment. I guess I see the print and hear the call of the wild or something – maybe it speaks to my inner amazonian woman! I just had to get this shirt dress and add it to my roster of clothing.

When it arrived, I stuck it straight on and fell in love. It’s been a while since I purchased anything to do with New Look Inspire and I’d forgotten just how well the clothing fits. Everything I have ever bought from New Look Inspire has been true to size and this was no exception – I purchased my normal size 20 and it fit like a dream, even over my massive wabs! It has a great elasticated waist too so it nips you in at the waist and gives you a lovely curve.

Because it was windy and a bit rubbish weatherwise, I styled this with some distressed platform ankle boots and black leggings, but it’s long enough to wear without and with some gorgeous little sandals. I stuck on some yellow accessories too just to give it a bit of contrast, although the dress does come with it’s own fabric belt in the same fabric as the dress. The yellow belt is one I stole from Emma (thanks babe) and the yellow statement necklace is from Liquorish.

I put on some Make Up Revolution Scandalous Shades lipstick in Crime (£1.00) to really contrast things too. If you haven’t already tried Make Up Revolution – why not?! It’s brilliant value and there’s so much to choose from – next on my list is an eyeshadow palette! You can buy online or in store at Superdrug.
